 A-Levels 2012   Nashik

I am pursuing B.Tech Fibres & Textiles Technology at the Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly known as UDCT), Mumbai. Fravashi International Academy is extremely special to me as I have been associated with the school since the time it was born. I have had the best teachers at my school fondly called FIA , who were so caring and gave personal attention to every student. The CIE curriculum along with the co-curricular and sports activities that the school offers is simply one of its kind. And what can I say about the food served at FIA...simply amazing, which I still miss. The 7 years that I spent there were indeed the golden years of my life which I will cherish forever. The school has contributed to the all-round development of the person that I am today.

Like every other school, even my school has made me grow as a knowledgeable person. But what makes it special than other schools is the atmosphere in which the students are groomed. Along with good knowledge FIA has helped me grow as a human being. It has imparted values and has helped us have a vision. It has taught us to aim high and work hard towards it through creating a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere in classrooms as well in the school campus. I can still remember the personal attention tutors gave us and helped us overcome our difficulties may it be in studies or in any other aspect of our career and personality. The good habits inculcated in us during the assembly through small skits or may it be a thought of the day still helps me to be a better person. We were taught table manners during our lunch break. I can still remember eating lunch on one table with all my friends and teachers. It is FIA that has taught me to eat food with respect and never criticize food. I can still remember the fun we had during the Annual Day practices..The enthusiasm and excitement of performing on stage was one of its kind. It is FIA where I overcame stage fear as I received many opportunities to open up. The days spent in FIA has made me develop in every aspect of my life, and now when I look back I rejoice these moments wishing those days could come back. After stepping out of the school and when I compete in the outer world I realize the importance of all the activities we were asked to do and the values that were embedded in us helping us to better ourselves.

My name is Mr. Akash S.Ugale, an ex-student at FIA. I successfully completed my A levels and I am now doing Second Year of Mechanical Engineering in K.K. Wagh Institute of Engineering in Nashik. Engineering was only possible for me because of the base which the tutors of FIA created for me. This might be just the perfect school for your child that not only focuses on academics but also motivates the non academic activities and sports, plus has a wonderful infrastructure and an immensely friendly staff.

I was in FIA boarding school from grade 8 to A levels and inarguably these were the best days of my life. FIA gave me a platform to discover myself at a tender age of 14.  I would like to thank everyone from FIA who put in tremendous amount of efforts into shaping me in what I am today. I am what I am, today, because I had the right amount of guidance and counseling for 4 long years. As I graduated from the class of November A levels 2012, I exactly knew what to do and where I wanted to be. I am doing aerospace and aeronautical engineering at Purdue university and I for sure know that I wouldn't be happier in any other discipline!

PS - I learnt guitar in FIA too.

I was in the second batch of Fravashi International Academy and I think my 6 years at the school have been instrumental in building me as a person. I think the faculty takes a lot of efforts to make their students understand the content on a conceptual level and thus leads to actual learning. Along with a focus on education, I think the attention to extra curricular activities helped me grow as a person and explore my potential in speaking and in performing arts.

Fravashi International Academy has always been my second home. Ever since I have been here, all my teachers have always been so friendly and have ensured that I get nothing but the best. Mulay sir, like my parent has always been there for me no matter what the problem was and has supported me in every decision I have made. There was a time when I was unable to choose my course and university after I was done with my A-levels, Mulay Sir would often give me opinions and guidelines about what I should do next and what is right or wrong. Finally, after some months I was able to decide my stream and I am glad that I chose B.Sc Economics course in NMIMS, Mumbai. One thing I know for sure is that, if Mulay Sir would have not been there to support me, I would have probably landed up somewhere having no clue about what I would be doing. The Cambridge curriculum which FIA follows is excellent and is probably the reason why I am finding my college course not very difficult. My experience in FIA has been totally amazing and I already miss school sooooo much!!

FIA provided me the platform to expand my intellectual horizons right from my first day in grade sixth eight years ago. It was its concept of classrooms with small student strength which enabled the teacher to focus on every student. This level of personalised teaching in a city like Nashik was truly God gifted and allowed me to excel in academics. FIA also exposed me to the sport of shooting and supported me throughout my shooting career in all ways. The infrastructure is unbelievably great but the biggest asset of FIA is the world class teachers, dedicated towards the enhancement of their students both inside and outside the classroom. All the teachers have always been there for me to mentor, provide extra support or teach lifelong lessons. I am proud to be a part of an institution that challenges the boundaries of modern day educational system and strives to provide every possible opportunity to its students in form of workshops, trips and discussions. Though others are really elated by FIA being ranked as India's sixth best residential school, I believe it is just the start of a long journey of success as there are still a number of areas FIA will conquer and make its mark globally in the field of education.

I studied A Levels at FIA and finished school in November 2013. Today I am at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, studying Business Administration, with a major in Marketing. Looking back upon my school life, I feel very fortunate to have studied in one of the best schools across the country! I am proud to have been a Fravashite! True to its motto of “Looking Beyond”, FIA believes in learning through experience rather than simply through memorizing textbook lessons. With extracurricular activities that are well balanced with academics, FIA presents students with options and then guides them to make a good decision. Unlike other schools in the city, FIA gives its students the liberty of expression and encourages students to think for themselves. It is sneak peek in to the real world but with the safety net of familiarity and the comfort of having someone to guide you all the time.

To anyone who's thinking of joining this institute, definitely do it! Amazing infrastructure, teachers who are committed to your overall progress, the best friends that you will ever make and the promise of a bright future- it's everything you'd want your school life to be!

When it comes to Fravashi, only thing which comes in my mind is a Stage of Great Opportunities. The school has always given me opportunities in Sports, Academics and Co-curricular activities.  Fravashi has helped me shape my Character, my Personality. When it comes to my self-confidence, Fravashi has contributed a lot in building it. Fravashi has always been a great experience in my life and has always supported me in taking some important decisions in my life. I would like to thank Ratan Sir, Sharvari Ma'am, Meghna Ma'am, Mulay Sir, Chadha Madam and all the teachers for supporting me and being a part of my success. I am proud to be a member of Fravashi. Looking around at other students, I see something different between them and me. I would say well, its the fact that they all seem home sick. After four years at the FIA boarding house, home sickness never really dawned upon us. This helped me settle down in the US for my further studies. There have been a lot of things I have noticed that differentiates me from my classmates. From basic dinning manners to being self reliant, I owe all of it to Fravashi!

The inception of most of my qualities and aims was at FIA. My leadership skills developed from the myriad opportunities which I was provided with. My conduct and character were shaped by the teachers who guided me. Today, as I prepare for university, I employ all these lessons to prove myself as an inquisitive scientist of my academic discipline. In fact it was right at the beginning of IGCSE that I knew I would pursue economics as a future because the subject was delivered to me with such passion. It has made me realise how important the synergy between the students and teachers at FIA was and would still be. I definitely think I owe huge gratitude to all my teachers who inspired me and let me create myself. So thank you for empowering me to face all the challenges that lie ahead.

My years in FIA were without a doubt, the best years of my life. I met my best friends here and we would do a lot of things that would drive the teachers crazy and then they would scold, shout at us but at no point did they give up on us. They nurtured us and what we are today is a result of their sustained efforts and sacrifices. There's hardly a day when I don't miss school. No matter which stage I reach, no matter who I become, I can never forget my FIA family. I thank FIA from bottom of my heart for giving such cherished memories. And last but not the least I wish Fravashi International Academy may continue enriching children's lives for centuries to come.

I took admission in FIA in grade 8 and continued studies till my A Levels. FIA gave me the opportunity of taking up subjects with great depth and insight and which had great practical implications. The CIE curriculum left me at par with students who were studying the same curriculum around the globe. Moreover, the exposure I got out of group projects was tremendous. I also had the privilege of being the Head Boy in A Levels and garnered a horde of interpersonal skills in the process. I am currently doing my Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from University of Pune, and I intend on specializing in the field of Finance. FIA also has an amazing infrastructure for sports, and the squash room was where I spent most of my sports hours. So not only has FIA given me a strong academic background, but it has also developed in me the desire to remain perfectly fit at all times. The CIE Curriculum and FIA has honed me and imbibed in me qualities of independence, creative thinking, discipline and a competitive spirit. And I am glad I spent my foundation years in this school.

Once upon a time, there was a girl. She was unsure, uncertain; always the back bencher, didn't know the local language properly, never raised her hand in class, was made fun of and was utterly scared of opening herself up to new people.

FIA has transformed me, from that shy little wallflower to this dynamic and confident person. It has provided me with innumerable opportunities to challenge me and change me for the better. As, the former head-girl, I've really blossomed under FIA's wings. My time in FIA, also nurtured my passion for writing. I've written and published my first novel, 'The Labyrinth Of Love' only because of the belief that I could do anything and FIA instilled that in me. My tutors were my cheerleaders, rooting for me, till the very last paper of my final exams in Year 12.

I am so grateful for everything that FIA has taught me and I wouldn't trade any of my experiences I've had here, for the world. I will always be a Fravashite and Fravashi International Academy would always be MY SCHOOL.

Because...this was not just a school, this was home.

I entered in Fravashi International Academy in 7th standard. I was one of the first few admissions into the school and was in the foundation batch of the school. I was one of the students who switched from pure Marathi medium school to a pure English medium school. It was  altogether different medium for me. The journey being extremely difficult, was eased by FIA and my teachers. I was guided by each and everyone with utmost care. FIA caters to every  individual's development. It stresses upon an all rounder development. I still remember the delicious meals that I used to have in FIA, which tickled our taste buds and fitness at the same time. Physical fitness, another important aspect is handled in a great manner. FIA offers its students a plethora of sports facilities including outdoor and indoor sports. The annual day, the most anticipated event of the year, gives a chance to students to showcase their talents. I remember myself doing a role of Sherlock in my 7th standard. Coming from a Marathi background, I lacked confidence but it was extended to me.
Chaddha ma'am, the first teacher whom I met in the school has been a great mentor to me since my first day in this school. She is the perfect example of how a teacher should be and is a great source of inspiration. Mulay Sir, yet another teacher who took endless efforts to shape our batch. He is a truly fascinating person and will always try to give students more than the book knowledge. All in all, the teachers in FIA are fabulous, and I can go on and on if I have to describe each of them.
The IGCSE curriculum, being very new at that time was successfully adapted in the school. We were given special lectures, training and every other help to adapt to the curriculum.
Today, I have completed my B.Tech degree in Information Technology and have been successfully placed in Amazon company as a software development engineer. Today, I feel extremely proud to have been a part of this wonderful institution. Had it not been for this school, the transition from Marathi medium to English medium wouldn't have been easy.
I would like to also thank Ratan sir, who envisioned this great school and has always motivated us to reach great heights!
